How much money is available?

Grants of up between £10,000 and £40,000 are available to eligible groups working in Blackburn with Darwen. Groups can receive only one award from the fund.

What activities can be considered for funding?

An award from the Targeted Support Fund cannot be entirely, or in the main, for capital purchases (e.g. computers, digital projectors etc.). The expectation is that grants will primarily fund revenue costs such as (but not exclusive to): -

  • Wages and on-costs (e.g. national insurance, pension, insurance)
  • Overheads (e.g. rent, telephone, heat and light, materials)
  • Project specific costs (e.g. events, marketing, web site, leaflets)
  • A contribution to full cost recovery

NB: Full cost recovery means securing funds for all the costs involved in the delivery of the work. Your budget should reflect the full costs to your organisation, including the direct costs of the projects and all overheads associated with running them.
